On October 2nd 2006 the acquisition of Norfolkline Containers by DFDS A/S has been completed.

Established in August 1997 Norfolkline Containers was set up to offer Direct Port-to-Port services between Ireland and Europe.

Focus has always been on a fixed reliable sailing schedule in combination with specialised equipment like 45ft curtainside, 45ft palletwide reefer, 40ft open top, 20ft/40ft flatrack and 45ft dry cargo containers.

The 4 different Business Units (Shipping/Dry Cargo/Reefer/Special Cargo) each specialised in their area make sure by a good cooperation between them that an optimal service is provided to more than 1200 direct customers in Europe.

With the acquisition of AC Forwarding in January 2006 we increased the knowledge in the very specific reefer market and also the number of 45ft palletwide reefercontainers.
